Categories and Site Navigation

I have added some categories to this blog to make it easier to navigate. You can now click on the gear icon on the Kevin Reviews uncanny X-Men page and you can choose from a variety of different categories to read previous reviews. You can search the reviews by issue release date, by issues that feature specific villains like Magneto and Juggernaut, by 5 and 1 star reviewed issues, and by issues that feature team ups.

I hope this makes my blog easier to navigate! If any of you readers have ideas on how to improve the organization of this blog let me know!

  1. My only other suggestion would be to use the tag in your posts. That way, when readers get a list of articles (like hitting the Magneto category for example) they’ll get a list of abbreviated articles to scroll through, if they’re looking for a particular Magneto issue.

    • That is a great idea! I’ve started adding tags in the posts and I’m gonna finish that up later tonight. Do you know how to make abbreviated views of articles though? I’m a bit new to wordpress and am having trouble figuring it out. That would make each post less intimidating if they were each abbreviated and you needed to click on it to read the whole thing.

      • You can insert the tag using the WordPress editor, there’s a widget on the toolbar, at the right which looks like a dashed line between two solid horizontal lines. That inserts a Read More tag. When the article is displayed as a series of articles, only the content before the Read More Tag is shown, and there will be a link set up for a reader to click on to get the whole article.

Let me know if you need more info.

      • Really nice!

I browsed the categories for Magneto, Juggernaut, and the 1,5 stars, you have the articles presented with just the right amount of content showing.

        Super-improvement, well done!
